Bioshock DRM fixed

Is DRM making you unhappy? Well now its futile to worry about it.  2K removes the hated install limits on the PC version of BioShock. Now you don’t have to install anything or patch it up when you buy your copy of Bioshock- it is already done!

They move of fixing Bioshock DRM free has happened earlier than expected. They haven’t done everything right but still this move at-least shows that we can trust them in the long run. Bioshock’s SecuRom -supported copyright protection had created a huge controversy at the time of its release, which led the simultaneous limit of installation from 2 to 5  PC’s  . Thanks for taking away SecuRom. EA should take a note of this.

Bioshock Bonanza: Bioshock 3 confirmed

There is no doubt in my mind that Bioshock was worth very GOTY award it received, it was by far way ahead of the competition in every aspect. The sequel is all set to release in the latter part of 2009, and although it hasn’t been announced yet, I am pretty sure that the game will release simultaneously on all major consoles. another good news for Bioshcok fans was the announcement of the movie based on this artistic game, to be directed by none other than Gore Verbinski (you should know who this is). But thats not all, as per a new turn of events:

“The recently announced BioShock film is more likely to release alongside the third entry in the game series than the second, according to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. “It’s more likely that [the BioShock movie] would be released coincidentally with BioShock 3,” Zelnick said in an investors conference call, as reported by Kotaku.

BioShock 2, in development at California-based 2K Marin, is currently planned for a fall 2009 debut for yet unannounced platforms. Take-Two stated that BioShock creator Ken Levine will be involved in the development of the sequel, though his role on the project was not specified.”

BioShock 2 Announced. Mark Down Q4 2009

Yes we’re a little late on this one, but the fine folks at Take-Two have announced that a sequel to the 2007 game of the year, BioShock is on the way for sometime in the fourth quarter of 2009.  It’s being handled by the newly formed 2k Marin Studio. Rumor has it that it will be a prequel to the events of the first game.

With 2 million copies of Bioshock sold, a sequel was inevitable. But since the game was perfect enough to be a stand alone title, we hope that Take-Two manage something just as special, if not better.

Confirmed: BioShock for the PS3

The rumors on this one have been floating around way before BioShock even hit the PC or Xbox 360. Now that it’s officially been confirmed around 8 months after winning a string of Game of the Year awards, we wonder what new content they’d be adding to make it worth a purchase (apart from the fact that you might not have a gaming PC or an Xbox 360)? According to the crew at CVG:

Details are thin on the ground at the moment (i.e. there are none), but the next issue of UK PlayStation mag PSM3 - which is on UK newsstands June 5 - promises a lengthy preview of the PS3 version along with a depth charge of screenshots.

New content or otherwise, this is one game you can’t afford to miss regardless on what system you play it on and the more people who have access to it, the better.
